‘Survivor Cambodia’: #Merge and other #Hashtags, too!

CBS sure loves their #hashtags. If it’s not a #merge (MERGE!) it’s a #blindside, even when it’s a questionable blindside. Or it’s a #SurvivorBreakdown, those are just great. Or maybe it’s another hour of #JOEGA. Speaking of Joe – he won immunity. Because he’s a beast. Was that a good idea to do? Win the very first immunity and enlarge that already-mammoth-sized target on his back? Whatever. Maybe Joe can soon just start mesmerizing people by glaring into their souls via their eyeballs, and ordering them to conduct his bidding, or something. I don’t even know what I’m talking about anymore.

#Merge: This is the largest merge the show has ever seen and it was sort of hard to keep everything straight. (Wait…who was an original Bayon? And were Spencer and Joe ever on the same tribe? No? I don’t know, it’s all confusing.) The episode seemed a little slow to me, but that’s only because this has been a bitchin’ season thus far. Ciera and Kass seemed on the outs as they kept trying to stir the pot – and Tasha just wasn’t having it. Let’s see if I can find a photo of Tash not having it.

Here she is contemplating whether or not she’s going to have it:

Here she is after watching Kass get her torch snuffed again:

So Kass and Ciera tried to cause a raucous among the original Bayon tribe – because they had to! Numbers were down, Bayon was tight, it seemed like an uphill battle. Usually the first vote-off after a merge is a Top Dawg Alpha Male – so strange to see Kass taken down so soon, but that’s what happens when no one trusts a single thing you say. Kass’s reputation preceded her…and I don’t think saving Spencer 100 times would’ve helped her convince them that she was a changed Kass.
In case you were wondering, I’m rooting hard for Kelley W. and Jeremy – and not just because they are both the idol holders. I feel that both of them were seriously stunted from playing with a loved one the first time. Their games seem strong this time around and I’m interested to see how much damage they can inflict flying solo. But damn, do they have their work cut out for them. There are SO MANY GOOD PLAYERS LEFT, gang! How is ANYONE going to win this game?
