Sarah Michelle Gellar's HBO Pilot

Sarah Michelle Gellar is maybe, probably, and hopefully RETURNING TO TV!

Score.

Mandi Bierly writes on EW.com:

According to Variety, she’s expected to shoot the half-hour HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladys, written for her by screenwriter Charles Randolph (The Interpreter, The Life of David Gale), early next year: “Set in Gotham, The Wonderful Maladys ensembler revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age. Randolph described Gellar’s character as having ‘a kind of zealous immaturity — like a drug addict with a to-do list.'”

Some say that SMG only reigns when on the small screen. Although I disagree, I do think her characters on Television are more interesting and have greater unravel-y depth to them.

No word yet on when The Wonderful Maladys will make it to the air, if at all.
