The Worst Blogger of the Year Presents: ‘The Top 10 of ’10’

And now, the story of Nick, the terrible blogger.

There once was a blogger name Nick. One week, he spent hours and hours sifting through his iPod and researching the Web, obsessively scratching notes on a piece of paper in order to hammer out his Top 10 albums of 2010. After tears, sweat and determination…HE LOST HIS NOTES LIKE AN ASSHOLE.

Well, guess what – he found them.

Since 2010 was like, over two months ago, I’ll keep this short. But goddammit, I still want to post it. There is absolutely nothing I can say about any of these albums that I haven’t said before or that you haven’t already read on some other shitty blog, so let’s just throw this out there and then bury it deep in the grounds of yesteryear. And since someone asked me about this just last weekend, here it is:

10. Sufjan Stevens – The Age of Ahds
9. Yeasayer – Odd Blood
8. Mumford and Sons – Sigh No More
7. The Dead Weather – Sea of Cowards
6. Scissor Sisters – Night Work
5. Robyn – Body Talk
4. LCD Soundsystem – This Is Happening
3. Janelle Monae – The ArchAndroid
2. Broken Bells – Broken Bells
1. MGMT – Congratulations

  1. Wow mgmt @ #1?? All I’ve heard is bad things about it and the radio is still playing shit from oracular. Also I’m just not that into them.

  2. Yea, man. Toss up between MGMT, Broken Bells, and Janelle…but I think MGMT has the edge because it’s a sophomore album that I really expected to hate. And it’s entirely different from their first release, which I respect as well. “Flash Delirium” and “Brian Eno” are the hotness.

  3. I completely agree with you regarding Yeasayer, Mumford and Sons, and Broken Bells. I don’t agree with the Sufjan Stevens one though…I was hoping for great things, but I was disappointed.
