Janet Jackson (that’s Miss Jackson, if you’re nasty!) just dropped her first new song in seven years. There can be no other nominee for Music Monday this week. It’s already been broughten.
“No Sleeep” is a collaboration with her longtime producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and is going to be available for purchase via Rhythm Nation/ BMG, which Jackson recently called her “new artistic home.” The track is vintage Janet; she seems to be returning to her roots after the last couple dud albums she released (in 2006 and 2008). But this track is gooooooood.

Is she intentionally avoiding the northeast or did she come through recently?
She came to the northeast on her last tour, but that was years ago. Apparently it’s going to be a “World Tour” so I’m sure she’ll swing through. I believe we are going to try to get tix when she does!
