Whirring synths, pulsating bass and yet another artist shrouded behind a mask (this time of the ski variety). Released in March of last year, I’ve been wondering for weeks why people are sleeping on Leikeli47’s “Heard Em Say,” and why this song hasn’t exploded beyond belief yet.

But under the radar is exactly where Leikeli47 has been hanging for the past year. In reality, she’s a Brooklyn girl with a creative streak that’s hard to hide. Jay Z even made 47’s twerk-friendly “F**k the Summer Up” number one on his Tidal playlist (yanno, if you have Tidal and are cool making millionaires even richer). But hey – if that’s not a nod of approval in the rap world, I don’t know what is.

But “Heard Em Say” is so solid and you’ve gotta jam on it. Also, THIS VERSE:
