Canadian punks White Lung released a new video for “Sister” – a track taken off their fourth LP Paradise that was released in May.The album is a departure; while it’s a softer effort from the band’s previous hardcore efforts, Paradise is still thrashing and thriving. It’s more anthemic, and perhaps a bit more accessible. For White Lung, that’s not a bad thing, it’s a welcomed deviation (because let’s be serious – it’s still loud AF).
In the clip, guitarist Kenneth William plays a lonely chap looking for love over the phone. He falls for two women (one of which is singer Mish Barber-Way) and from there it’s basically a “90s chat line commercial on PCP,” says director Justin Gradin. “In the end, these two women’s thrilling lives and escalating partying leave the man feeling isolated and rejected again.”
