As much as I love Black Flag, it’s safe to say that I’m totally cool with having never interviewed Henry Rollins.

In this 1984 backstage clip, a young kid had the grit to tackle an interview with one of the decade’s most hardcore punks. Rollins, the Black Flag frontman, absolutely destroys the poor kid, who, while nervous at the onstart, actually holds his own standing there in the face of a monstrous Rollins while smiling and getting a few jabs in.

Rollins does speak some truth, but it doesn’t make this interview any less of a total cringe-fest. Yikes, man.
