"The Chris Farley Show" – A Biography in Three Acts

A trailer for a book!

Written by Tanner Colby and Tom Farley, Jr. (Chris’s bro), the book collects full passages and quotes from all of Farley’s friends from high school and college, his collegues from ImprovOlympic and Second City, and even up those from his time on SNL (including Lorne Michaels!).

The passages quoted are both funny and sad; and both touching and inspirational. The book sets Farley in a different light; he isn’t just the bumbling ‘Tommy Boy’ that many of us think he is. I know I was quite young when Farley was on SNL, and I didn’t know much about his private life or inner struggles with drugs and alcohol.  “The Chris Farley Show” details this, putting his life into perspective from those who loved him the most.

I’m only about halfway through the book, and still felt the need to rush this post to spread the word. Farley fans everywhere should check this out to get a glimpse of the man behind the pratfalls and booming hysterics. It’s a sad tale, but Farley is definitely one of the greats of our time and he should never be forgotten.
