Santogold > M.I.A.

Santogold is often compared to M.I.A. in terms of style and sound, but in my honest, honest opinion Santogold is greater than M.I.A.

M.I.A.’s tunes are ok…for like 5 minutes. Then, I’m always ready to move on. I’ve had Santogold’s self-titled debut album for months now and I’m constantly going back to it (You might recall a former post of the “L.E.S. Artistes” video). And when I do, I cling to it for weeks at a time. Why? It’s eclectic as all hell. Yanno…if hell was eclectic or something. Rap fused with R&B, fused with pop, fused with rock-supported tracks: It has it all.
