THAT PHANTOGRAM TRACK THOUGH

PhantogramPhantogram’s third album is out soon. It’s called Three. Which as it turns out isn’t just a clever name. The duo is coming off of last year’s quite stellar Big Grams EP with Outkast’s Big Boi. So yeah. Things are pretty OK for these guys.

Lead single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” came out a while ago and it’s pretty damn skippy. For real, I was snorting that shit all summer. But “Cruel World” is even better. Its hypnotic, scratchy beat and dark lyrics will make you want to cut ties with every single one of your shitty relationships. It’s an auditory dose of tough love that cuts deep.

I’m putting you out of your misery
Cause darling you’re dragging me down
I wish I could say that I’m sorry
But I’m over that, now I’m taking you out
It’s a cruel, cruel world

So I’m saying my goodbyes
Goodbye to my good side
It only ever got me hurt
And I finally learned
It’s a cruel, cruel world

Bleak, man.

Say goodbye to your good side. And hello to “Cruel World”:

Three comes out October 7th to a streaming service located in a phone near you.
