HAIM Debut New Song with a Paul Thomas Anderson-Directed Studio Performance

Haim

It feels like forever since we’ve been graced with anything new from Camp HAIM. The trio of sisters debuted two new cuts during least year’s festival circuit—”Give Me Just A Little of Your Love” and “Nothing’s Wrong”—as a sort of sneak peak to what was brewing in the studio, but since, they’ve been quiet. Today, the band released a new live clip, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson at Valentine Studios in North Hollywood, of the ladies performing “Right Now,” another track that will likely be found on their sophomore release. (Watch below)

The clip starts with Danielle Haim at the piano and pans left to Este on bass (and backing vocals) and finally Alana, who shreds some guitar that slices through the ballad, tearing it wide open. Danielle’s vocals are nothing short of angelic, and in perfect Haim form, her two sisters perfectly complement her lead. Mid-song, Este walks over to Baby Haim for a killer drum-off that Anderson captures beautifully.

The video ends with a close-up shot of Danielle’s pensive face, while Este shouts from behind her, “That’s how ya fuckin’ do it!” (Seriously, give me all the HAIM right. now.)

As per the band’s Facebook post, “There’s more to come, but this is it for right now.”

The new album, Something To Tell You, is due July 7 on Columbia.
