'24' Season 7: The following took place between 10am and 12pm

Who else thought that hours 10-12pm were waaaay better than the first two? We had more action, more character development, and our first plot twist of the season!  Spoiler alert: Don’t read this until you’ve watched!

Let’s start small – Renee Walker. Hospital scene. Choking off Tanner’s air supply. Look’s like she’s got a little Bauer in her after all! (She might even get a little more of Bauer in her by the end of the season….sorry – a dirty, dirty joke). Walker proves she’s got what it takes and I predict (though it’s not that hard to piece together!) that Janis and Walker will be working with Jack sooner-rather-than-later. Walker could definitely help Team CTU as they attempt to uncover the alleged corruption.

CHLOE AND BILL ARE BACK! After Tony (in FBI custody) gave Jack the code name, I was tickled to find Bill Buchanan on the other end of the phone line. I was even more ecstatic to see Chloe right behind him. And them BAM! Buchanan explains that Tony was working undercover with Emerson to ensure that the CIP device wasn’t used to cause harm. Jack trusts Bill and with Chloe’s help he busts Tony out of FBI custody. Insert the action that was missing from the first 2 hours and you get a kickass escape scene.

Samantha Roth met with Henry Taylor to admit that Roger Taylor, the President’s son, was involved in insider trading that eventually got himself killed. He was also 2 days away from giving his mother evidence of the corruption in the government. Samantha gives Henry a memory stick with all of Roger’s info on it. Interesting…hmm? My prediction: Samantha gets killed off by the same people who killed Roger, upping Henry’s intrigue regarding the situation even more.

Jack and Tony are now undercover with Emerson and are trying to abduct Ule Matobo under orders from Ike Dubaku. (These names are hard. Thanks TV.com!) If Jack and Tony get Matobo, Emerson could leave them to Dubaku.

And the plot thickens!

So far, so good! What do you guys think? Confident that ’24’ is finally back? Still worried that it could tank like Season 6 did? Do you think Tony could still flip on Jack by Day’s end?  We’ll see next week! One thing I’m certain of – 1 hour a week of ’24’ is simply not enough.
